POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Producer, Editorial will support our Editorial Rentals Department. They bring to the role excellent communication, interpersonal, and strong problem-solving skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing client requests and priorities are essential attributes for this role.  

MAIN DUTIES:
The Associate Producer, Editorial will intake all client requests from editorial teams regarding their Avid edit systems working in facility, remotely, or at another location. They will communicate with clients to go over timelines and workflows, provide options that can streamline their experience, work with the Sales and Production teams to ensure client expectations are met and update internal teams when necessary, and ensure Engineering is apprised of all potential upcoming projects, approved projects and details of client requests. They will also be responsible for the following:
  • Facilitate fulfillment and logistics of Avid edit system builds 
  • Coordinate weekly billing with Accounting, request purchase orders from clients 
  • Ensure editorial clients have a solid workflow from Dailies to Editorial to Finishing, whether at Company 3 or other vendors 
  • Maintain client communication throughout, anticipate issues, continually provide updates from Engineering to the client. Must have enough flexibility in hours to respond to urgent client requests outside of regular business hours as needed. 
  • Anticipate potential conflicts regarding scheduling, propose solutions 
  • Continually identify ways to streamline processes and to innovate and adapt our services to our clients’ needs 
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality and cost effective services 
  • Provide support to the client services staff as needed. 
  • Work with the security team to ensure company policies and best practices are maintained 

WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have prior working experience in a client facing Post Production environment. They must have exceptional customer service skills, and have the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities under tight deadlines.  They must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail and an ability to work effectively both unsupervised and collaboratively with internal departments.  Additional desired skills include:
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the Post Production process for both feature and episodic picture and sound. From file-based dailies and off-line editorial, through to final mastering and delivery. 
  • Knowledge of Xytech MediaPulse or other Post Production scheduling software.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to learn and process information quickly. 
  • Possess solid keyboarding skills and a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint, OneDrive) 
  • Able to work alternative times and weekends when required. 
  • This position is eligible for overtime.
