Position: Dailies Producer

*Pay Range: $74,000 - $78,000 USD annually
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dailies Producer is responsible for, but not limited to, assisting and coordinating location and facility dailies shows for both Episodic and Features, supervising schedules to ensure the dailies process is sound. This individual is the primary point of contact for all clients on shows for which/he or she is assigned. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a Dailies Operator, Producer in dailies or equivalent experience.
MAIN DUTIES:
The Dailies Producer is responsible for daily communication with clients on all shows assigned. They will shepherd shows through the dailies workflow. They will run Pre Production Calls, gather specs, create spec sheets and workflow documents that should be distributed to the entire Dailies team. They will review bids and set up jobs in Mediapulse. They will review and approve billing on shows ensuring that all additional charges or no charges are properly notated. They will schedule all resources and create work orders in Mediapulse as needed. They will orchestrate the start of the job by communicating job specs to Dailies Colorists, Operators, Data IO and Deliverables to ensure that all are aware of the show requirements, workflow and expectations. - Schedule show kick off meetings whenever possible with the team.
- Track status of LTO turn-around and ensuring that clients are kept up-to-date.
- If LTOs are not completed and verified within 36 hours, escalate to Director, Dailies.
- Track important spec changes, communicating all changes to the staff as needed and update spec documents.
- Ensure that all company protocols are followed.
- Track all issues that arise during dailies in the spec internal notes and pass this information along to DI.
- Remain in close contact with DI management to advise them of special cases throughout dailies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of job status and be capable of answering questions as they relate to all jobs in progress.
- Respond promptly to all client requests, coordinating with internal staff.
- Identify potential issues and escalate matters to management in a timely manner.
- Consolidate all dailies reporting and send daily and weekly updates to management team.
- Maintain tracking sheets per show.
- Coordinate with other location producers and staff where multiple location are involved in the dailies workflow.
- Assist in scheduling staff, make adjustments based on the call sheet.
- Assist in scheduling staff on weekends and fill in if necessary to achieve dailies turn around requirements.
- OT must be pre-approved by Director, Dailies.
- Track all redoes that are performed on the day shift and maintain notes on areas where night shift operators require additional training or clarification.
- Assist with redos and clean up on the day shift as needed.
- Train all Dailies Operators in all functions of the department as needed.
- Must be willing to travel and be available to set up on location jobs for TV and features as needed.
- Must be available during off hours to answer questions and assist with issues.
- Must be available by phone and email during off hours.
- Create LTO Archive and Cataloguing Jira tickets.
- Schedule monitor calibrations and report billing.
- Assist with coordinating logistics including shipping and travel for on location jobs.
- Schedule vault, data io, engineering and other resources as they pertain to shows.
- Audit and ensure that tracking sheets are being updated.
- Other duties as necessary.
