POSITION SUMMARY:
Company 3, including its various business units and family of brands, provides a full range of Creative Services for content creators, including conceptual design, pre-vis, look development, ideation and rapid prototyping, 3D animation/CGI, motion graphics/designers, matte painting, compositing, dailies and production services, color grading, post-production finishing, marketing/trailers, live-action production, experiences, and more.
As an Associate Systems Engineer at Company 3 you will be working as part of a team, to administer and support creative service applications and tools for our clients both in facility and remote while adhering to our critical security standards. You will also play a critical role in our inventory and asset management systems.
MAIN DUTIES:
The Associate Systems Engineer will provide client facing onsite and remote support for our editorial clients within an Avid Nexis infrastructure at Company 3 New York. They will work with Engineering teams in LA and Toronto to optimize Avid system architectures, adhering to company standards and securities requirements, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. They will work in a fast pace creative environment with the ability to work independently and quickly resolve issues. Other duties include:The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal communication and client service. They will be proficient with Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS support (ACSR preferred, not mandatory). They will have knowledge of Storage performance and Archival concepts. - Build and maintain hardware and software of editorial systems on location and remote.
- Maintain inventory of editorial assets.
- Work with engineering teams to support creative applications.
- Work collaboratively to handle all operational and production technical needs.
- Ability to work around production schedules and to travel as required.
- Work around production schedules and travelling as required.
- Respond after-hours, weekends, and holidays on an on-call basis.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Postproduction/ studio experience.
- Creative applications experience.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and implementation for remote and in-studio production workflows.
